Information on potential timberland investment opportunities in our operational regions comes to us from a variety of sources, including industry and community contacts. The entrepreneurial spirit that the company tries to instill in its employees results in our people being alert to opportunities during the normal course of their activities. The preferred method to source potential investments is through direct personal contact with landowners and decision makers. Passive sources of investment opportunities (real estate brokers, auction houses, investment banks) are not our preferred source of deal flow, but we have been successful with these approaches as well.
